BWF World Rankings for June 2012


The world’s top men’s doubles pair, Jung Jae Sung / Lee Yong Dae, have had reason to celebrate time and again this year



World No. 1 spots coveted by many change hands



June was the start of a new badminton era; Lee Chong Wei of Malaysia, world number 1 for quite a while, was injured in the final of the Thomas Cup in May and was unable to complete in the Indonesian Super Series in June. Lee won the tournament last year and his absence this year meant that the number of ranking points he has won fell. China’s No. 1 men’s singles player Lin Dan replaced Lee in No.1 spot in the men’s singles world rankings.....<FULL ARTICLE>
