"Victory Number": 14
Number of Chou Tien Chen’s consecutive match wins.
Chou’s incredible winning streak lately, in which saw the 24-year-old Taiwanese claim his first Superseries title in Paris, three-peat at Bitburger Open, and surge up the rankings to a career high No.8, stopped at 14 matches. His 15th consecutive match win was finally snatched by Chinese legend Lin Dan this week in the China Open semifinals.

Chou Tien Chen's incredible winning run ended at 14.
Player of the week
Former World No.2 Saina Nehwal of India withstood the challenges of some of the most promising youngsters in the game, including final victory over the youngest Superseries winner Akane Yamaguchi, to clinch her second Superseries win in 2014.
Battle of the week
Men’s Doubles runner-up Chai Biao/Hong Wei survived an intensely fought quarterfinal match against Hirokatsu Hashimoto/Noriyasu Hirata in dramatic fashion. They wasted 5 match points of their own at 21-15 20-18 and 21-20, 22-21, 23-22 to go into a decider, and had to trade match points before finally closing out 21-15, 23-25, 26-24 in 72 minutes.
VICTOR STAR of the week: Yoo Yeon Seong
Yoo Yeon Seong, who is the No.1 men’s doubles player with Lee Yong Dae but needed to come through the qualifying rounds to earn their main draw berth in the mixed doubles with his partner Eom Hye Won, made it both to the Sunday finals. Despite loss in 3 to mixed doubles No.1s Zhang Nan and Zhao Yunlei, he successfully defended the men’s doubles title with Lee. This was the fourth triumph in the season for Lee/Yoo.

Yoo Yeon Seong made both finals this week in men's doubles and mixed doubles.

Title No.4 this season for the World No.1 team, Lee Yong Dae / Yoo Yeon Seong.
